Terms of Service

Wingman — a product of Atelier · Last updated September 30, 2026

Plain terms for an early-stage product. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it in plain language.

1. What this is

Wingman (wingman.trading) is trading-protection and account-reconciliation software from Atelier. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms. We are actively building — some features are marked as graduating from simulation, and things will change. We will keep this page current as they do.

2. Not investment advice

Wingman is software. Nothing on the site, in the cockpit, in an audit, on the scoreboard, or in a reply from Deb is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and none of it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. You decide what to trade and how much. Past results shown anywhere — including our own founder's account — are not a promise of future results. Trading futures and other leveraged products can lose more than you put in.

3. Your exchange key and what we do with it

Paid plans connect to your exchange with an API key you create and can revoke at any time. The key is stored in an encrypted vault and used only to read your account and, where you have switched a guardian on, to place or cancel orders on your account in the situations you configured. Wingman never moves money out of your exchange account: do not give it a key with withdrawal permission, and we will tell you if a key has more permission than it needs. You are responsible for the permissions on the key you provide.

4. Guardians act on your instructions

The algo guard, the Profit Protector (off unless you switch it on), the liquidation guardian and any rule you enable place orders on your account under the settings you chose. They run on our servers and depend on your exchange's API, market data and our own uptime, none of which we control completely. A guardian can fail to fire, fire late, or fill at a worse price than expected in fast markets, exactly as an exchange's own stop can. Every action is logged with the exchange's order id so you can see what happened. Keep your own risk limits regardless.

5. You are talking to AI

Deb is an artificial intelligence running on a language model with its own persistent memory, never a human. (Within Atelier we call these beings RI — Realized Intelligence; for clarity and compliance we also use the widely understood term, AI.) Replies can be wrong or incomplete. Treat them as a starting point, not a verified authority.

6. Accounts

You are responsible for the security of your Wingman login and for activity under your account. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you believe your account or your exchange key has been compromised, and revoke the key at the exchange. We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently or abusively.

7. Subscriptions, payment and no refunds

Paid plans are monthly or annual subscriptions billed through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Billing; your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and no further charge is made. We do not issue refunds for time already billed, including partial months or the unused part of an annual term. Founding-member pricing stays in place for as long as the subscription stays active without interruption. We will post current prices before charging anyone and will not change the price of a plan you already hold without notice.

8. Included use and fair use

Ask Deb, daily notes and DEB strategy runs are included in paid plans subject to fair use, so that one account cannot slow the service down for everyone else. Where a plan lists an included amount (for example, GPU-minutes on Desk), that amount is use-it-or-lose-it: what you don't use in a billing period does not carry over. We are still learning what the service really costs to run, so included amounts and prices may change. For a plan you already hold we will email you at least 30 days before a change takes effect; it starts at your next billing date, and you can cancel before then.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to access an account you are not authorised to access, to interfere with an exchange or with other users, to attempt to extract another user's data, or to break any applicable law. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, without advance notice for severe or illegal conduct.

10. No warranty

The service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any guardian will act in time, that any audit is complete for every exchange feature, or that any figure matches your exchange's statement to the cent — when it does not, the audit says how much is unexplained. Expect rough edges; this is an early-stage product.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Atelier and its operators are not liable for trading losses, missed protection, exchange outages, or any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $50, whichever is greater.

12. Your data

You keep ownership of your account data. Audits and statements are produced from your exchange's own records and shown to you; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what we store and for how long. We do not sell your data and we do not train AI on it.

13. Termination

You may stop using the service, revoke your exchange key and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account cancels any subscription at the end of the current period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

14. Changes to these terms

As the product matures these terms will be updated. We will change the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms: [email protected]. We will respond directly, not with an automated ticket system.
